Well, back in June 2024 we hosted another Cut Above the Rest @ The Electric Circus in Burnley.
We rolled out the winning formulae from last time, namely myself and local scratch legend DJ Woody provided the music and the cuts.
And alongside this we had my bro and breakdancing champion mouse (plus friends) throwing down some moves to the music.
On the night Woody performed his award winning “hip hop is 50” visual DJ set. And i took one my visual synthesisers down to provide visuals for my DJ set.
I played a variety of music, playing hip hop for the first two hours. And after Woody’s set i played a variety of oldskool, breakbeat and even some fairly fast techno.
Feedback from the night was awesome. Thanks to all those who attended. Like last time i had an absolute blast playing on the night.

As i stated earlier i played quite a variety of music during the last two hours. Everything from acid house to fast techno. Here’s a small example of some of tracks which i played in my set…

I always end up dropping Vitalic’s LA Rock. Probably one the best techno tunes eva.
DK8 – Murder Was The Bass. Was very surprised how well this fast techno stomper went down. Proper Dave Clarke track
One of my all time favourite trance tunes: Marmion. Love this track.
